- Take Part in Every Stage: When one stage ends, the next becomes available. The MelBet Pickem system updates as the tournament progresses. Scoring System
The rating system is based on the number of points earned. Points are awarded for correct predictions and successful completion of the themed quiz. The more points you score, the higher you’ll be on the leaderboard and the better your chances of winning prizes.
Predictions
Within the Pick’em Challenge CS2 BLAST.tv Austin Major, participants can earn up to 48 points. Predictions are made on teams advancing at each stage of the tournament, from the group stages to the final. A fixed number of points is awarded for each correct prediction: the closer the stage is to the final, the higher the reward. The full point distribution is presented in the table below.
| Stage | What to predict | Number of picks | Points per correct pick | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | Who qualifies for Stage 2 | 8 teams | 1 | 8 |
| Stage 2 | Who qualifies for Stage 3 | 8 teams | 1 | 8 |
| Stage 3 | Who qualifies for the Play-off | 8 teams | 2 | 16 |
| Play-off | Who reaches the semifinals from the quarterfinals | 4 teams | 2 | 8 |
| Who reaches the final from the semifinals | 2 teams | 2 | 4 | |
| Who wins the final | 1 team | 4 | 4 | |
| Total | — | — | — | 48 |
Quiz
The quiz is an additional way to earn points, up to a maximum of 50 points. The quiz structure includes four difficulty levels: Easy, Basic, Hard, and Expert. Each level contains 5 questions, and the point value of a correct answer increases proportionally with difficulty, from 1 to 4 points per correct answer.
| Difficulty Level | Questions | Points per Correct Answer | Max Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 5 | 1 point | 5 |
| Basic | 5 | 2 points | 10 |
| Hard | 5 | 3 points | 15 |
| Expert | 5 | 4 points | 20 |
| Total | 20 | – | 50 |
Participants can complete the levels in any order, providing them with the necessary flexibility. Each question has a fixed time limit of 10 seconds, and a second attempt is not allowed. It is recommended to stay fully focused and approach each answer carefully. Every mistake reduces the potential score and may affect the final position on the leaderboard.
💡 Note: The total number of points a participant can earn during the entire activity period is up to 98 points: 48 from predictions and 50 from the quiz. The final score determines the position on the leaderboard after the competition ends. Participants with the highest results gain the right to participate in the prize draw.
