How to Take Part in EWC CS2 2026 on MelBet Pick’em
Referred to as the equivalent of the Olympic Games, the Esports World Cup (EWC) tournament is known for combining several esports disciplines. The 2026 edition will feature as many as 24 disciplines. One of the most exciting parts promises to be EWC CS2, where the strongest rosters of the season will compete for a prestigious international title.
As a result, MelBet Pick’em could not miss this event and will feature EWC 2026 CS2 as part of the Pick’em Challenge. Users can analyze team form and map pools to make their CS2 predictions in the simulator bracket. A thematic Quiz, loved by many participants, will also be available. All information on how to join the MelBet EWC 2026 CS2 Pick’em Challenge is found below.
The first step to participate in the CS2 Pick’em Challenge is to open a MelBet Mongolia account. If you have already registered, simply go to their personal account, copy your MelBet ID, and proceed to Step 2.
If you don’t have an account, you need to register one. You can do this using this link, and your account will be up and running in just a few minutes. If you wish to place bets later, you can use the MelBet promo code to start your betting journey with a 50% increased first deposit bonus. As part of the participation requirements, you also need to fill in all the information in your personal account immediately after signing up.
Once you have a MelBet ID, proceed to register on pickem-mongolia.com. To do this, open the registration form using the black “Registration” button in the upper-right corner. Enter your MelBet ID and a valid email address and confirm you agree with the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions and that you are 21 years or older.
After submitting this form, you’ll receive a registration confirmation email via your registered email address. Follow the link to complete the account creation process. This process helps verify that the email address is valid and that our representative can contact you if you win any prizes in the EWC CS2 Pick’em Challenge.
Once you log in to your MelBet Pick’em account, open the Esports World Cup 2026 CS2 tournament page to make predictions and take the Quiz. You can access it from any page of the website through the top menu or by using the tournament cards on the homepage and the CS2 Pick’em page.
You will see a bracket simulator, the Quiz, and the main tournament information on the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026 page. We recommend reviewing everything carefully, including the team lineups, dates, format, and prize pool. You should also read the EWC CS2 rules to understand how the points allocation system works.
The first activity within the CS2 Pick’em EWC 2026 is making predictions in the bracket simulator. You need to select the teams that will advance from one stage to the next, all the way through to picking the champions. The bracket is divided into two stages, just like the tournament format. Please note that making or confirming predictions closes 30 minutes before the start of the first match of the predicted stage.
For each correct prediction, you’ll receive a certain number of points. You can earn a total of up to 32 points from predictions. The scoring system is available in the official MelBet Pick’em EWC 2026 rules.
The EWC CS2 2026 Quiz can help you earn even more points. You can earn up to 50 points if you get everything correct. For convenience, the MelBet Quiz is divided into four difficulty levels, each containing five questions.
The quiz may include questions about the Esports World Cup 2026, the game itself, and even this MelBet Pick’em page. You must answer each question within 10 seconds, and you cannot return to it or skip it to answer the next one.
After the EWC CS2 2026 tournament ends and its winner is determined, our team will begin calculating the points of all Pick’em Challenge participants. This process takes up to 14 days. As soon as we finish calculating points, we’ll publish a post with the broadcast date and a link on the MelBet Mongolia Facebook page.
During this broadcast, the lucky participants who will receive prizes as part of the Esports World Cup CS2 Pick’em will be determined. The main prize in the Golden Giveaway this time around is an iPad Air.
Esports World Cup 2026 Teams
The EWC 2026 CS2 teams were determined through a mixed system of invitations and qualifiers. As many as 32 CS2 teams will compete in the tournament. The majority of the slots (27) were determined according to the June Valve Regional Standings (VRS). The full slot distribution is presented in the list below:
- Global VRS Ranking — 21 teams
- VRS North America — 2 teams
- VRS South America — 2 teams
- VRS Asia — 2 teams
- Asian Champions League 2026 Winner — 1 team
- Open Qualifier — 4 teams
The qualification system last year was noticeably simpler. However, despite the increase in the number of participants this year, the organizers decided to maintain a high average level of competition while also expanding regional representation.
There is also commercial logic behind this decision for the Esports World Cup 2026. Twice as many teams means more countries, clubs, well-known players, and potential audiences. The full list of teams and their rosters is presented in the table below.

EWC 2026 CS2 Format
The EWC format differs from all other CS2 tournaments. There are two main stages here: the Group Stage and the Playoffs.
The Group Stage will divide 32 teams into four GSL groups of eight participants each. The top four teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs, forming a 16-team bracket.
All Playoff matches are played in a Bo3 format, while the Grand Final is played in a Bo5 format. This reduces the influence of a random result on a single map and makes it possible to determine the strongest EWC 2026 CS2 roster more accurately.
| Category | Group Stage | Playoffs |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | August 12-18, 2026 | August 19-23, 2026 |
| Format | 32 teams divided into four double-elimination GSL groups of eight teams each | 16 teams, Single-Elimination bracket |
| Match Type (Bo1/Bo3) | Opening matches — Bo1; all following matches — Bo3 | All matches — Bo3; Grand Final — Bo5 |
| Advances | Top 4 teams from each group → Playoffs | Winners advance through the bracket; Top 2 → Grand Final |
Esports World Cup CS2 2026 Prize Pool
A prize pool of $2,000,000 has been allocated to CS2 as part of EWC 2026. It is distributed among all 32 participants in the tournament. The largest payout of $ 600,000 goes to the winner. Teams that finish in lower positions also receive a guaranteed cash prize depending on their final placement.
Additionally, the top eight teams earn Club Points, which count toward the overall Esports World Cup club standings. The higher a team finishes in the CS2 tournament, the more points its organization receives. See a detailed breakdown of the points and prize money in the table below:
