Legacy CS2 Team Review
A new rising star of the American CS scene – or just lucky ones? The world has not yet formed a final opinion about the Legacy CSGO team. This young team of Brazilian players has been steadily moving up in the last year, sometimes unexpectedly beating old top players.
The Legacy club appeared in 2023, managed to try itself in the second main eSports direction – Dota 2, but now it is seriously focused only on the CS2 roster. Will they eventually be able to achieve stable success – we are trying to predict in this MelBet Pick’em review.
Legacy History
The history of the Brazilian CSGO Legacy team begins, oddly enough, in Norway. From 2021 to 2023, the initial roster of the current CS Legacy team played for the Norwegian club “00 Nation”, but on August 23, its management decided that maintaining two CS rosters was too expensive and disbanded the Brazilian team. However, the players decided not to disperse and continue to play under the new name Fake Natty.
A month later, the name was changed to Legacy, due to the creation of an organization of the same name to represent the interests of the team. The newly created club will also later try its hand at Dota 2 and PUBG, but will later decide to focus on the CS2 roster.
Legacy Founders
The CEO of the CS GO Legacy team knows about the game firsthand: Ricardo “Dead” Sinigaglia is a former player himself, and later a successful coach and manager. His portfolio includes more than 10 years of work in leading positions in such large clubs as MIBR and SK Gaming. His penultimate employer was 00 Nation, where he worked with the subsequently fired team.
As an experienced specialist, Sinigaglia knew that such a chance could not be missed, and offered the players to relaunch under the new brand “Legacy”, even managing to lure the same sponsors that supported the team before. Now he is the CEO of Legacy team.
Legacy Initial Roster
The initial roster for the team accumulated quite strong players. Thus, in August 2023, the Legacy CS2 roster included:
- Marcelo “coldzera” David – IGL;
- Bruno “latto” Rebelatto;
- Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer;
- Gabriel “NEKIZ” Schenato;
- Lucas “nqz” Soares;
The strongest players here were nqz (however, two months after the foundation, he was lured to paiN, and he was replaced by Bruno “b4rtiN” Câmara) and the legendary coldzera. However, despite the strength of the roster, as well as a significant increase in success compared to the results of the 00 Nation times, the team failed to show its best side in 2023. For the entire year, they failed to take a single prize place even at the B-tier level.
The first success of CS2 Legacy can be considered the successful qualification for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. And although the roster dropped out at the Opening Stage, ultimately taking 17-19th place in the overall standings, the baptism of fire for the young team was successful.
Legacy Current Roster
Everything changed for the team after the region change. Thus, CS2 Legacy team left LATAM and changed the arena to the USA – a place of reduced competition. This allowed the team to make a good step up, even despite the fact that coldzera, who was considered the team’s trump card, left in 2024.
By September 2025, the Legacy CS2 roster includes:
- Lucas “lux” Meneghini – IGL (joined 2025);
- Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira (joined 2025)
- Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco (joined 2024)
- Bruno “latto” Rebelatto (initial player) ;
- Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer (initial player);
The starting lineup is left with latto and dumau, while the other three players have been replaced. Signed in 2025, n1ssim and the new team captain, lux, were previously paiN players.
The coaching staff has remained stable. The head coach is 37-year-old Olavo “chucky” Napoleão, who has been with the team since 00 Nation. He is an incredibly experienced pro, having played for the legendary mibr back in 2007-2008. He is also assisted by Alan “adr” Riveros.
Apparently, the roster update and the change of region played into the hands of the CS Legacy team: in 2025, they managed to qualify for both PGL Bucharest 2025 and Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2025. Then luck played a role: Legacy failed the qualification for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, losing to Bestia – and still got to the tournament instead of them, due to visa problems with the winning team.
Legacy Tournament Achievements
In the short history of Legacy, 2025 is their clear peak so far. In the spring of 2025, the team managed to return from the bottom of the lists to the top 30 worldwide, and in the summer of 2025 – for the first time break into the top 20.
Today, the CS Legacy team has the following achievements under its belt:
- 1st place at Thunderpick World Championship 2025: North American Series #1, B-tier ($20,000);
- 1st place at Thunderpick World Championship 2024: North American Series #2, B-tier ($20,000).
Yes – Legacy CS2 team hasn’t won any prizes at A-tier tournaments yet. However, their big achievement is qualifying for the last three majors, which not every experienced CS2 team can boast of. Moreover, Legacy is showing slow but steady growth: 17-19 place at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, 12-14 place at PGL Bucharest 2025, and 9-11 place at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
Legacy Legends
Judging by the dynamics, the young Legacy esports have a long history ahead of it, with the new victories and new legends. However, today, 22-year-old Bruno “latto” Rebelatto can be safely praised for the ongoing process of the team’s ascent to its peak. Together with dumau, he is the foundation of the roster – and remains loyal to it, unlike the talent of coldzera.
Latto is an excellent riffler, aggressive, fearless, but perfectly aware of what tactics and team play are. Despite the fact that he is not the team captain, he is clearly the one who inspires newcomers and paves the way for Legacy to new victories. At the Austin Major, latto was rightly named MVP.
Legacy Upcoming Tournaments
The team’s next challenge will be qualifying for the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 – after a great result on the North American stage of the tournament, everyone expects high results from them. This fall, team Legacy will also try their hand at the CS Asia Championship 2025 (A-tier). They can also be seen at global tournaments CS2, such as FISSURE Playground #2 and ESL Pro League Season 22.
FAQ
The initial lineup of the CS Legacy team was formed in 2022 as part of the Norwegian “00Nation”, but was later disbanded. The players left the club with their coach, manager and sponsor – and in August 2023 they created their own organization under the name Legacy.
As of September 2025, the Legacy CS2 roster consists of Lucas “lux” Meneghini (IGL), Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira, Guilherme “saadzin” Pacheco, Bruno “latto” Rebelatto and Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer.
Current (September 2025) Legacy CS2 ranking – 19th place according to ESL (3rd place in America after Furia and paiN) and 20th place according to HLTV. But Valve’s ranking places the team much lower – only 53rd place in the world.

The group of players that currently play as the CS Legacy roster has been coached by Olavo “chucky” Napoleão since 2022. He was a coach back in 00 Nation, and joined the newly formed club along with his players. He is assisted by second Legacy coach and analyst Alan “adr” Riveros.
