Lynn Vision CS2 Team Review
Lynn Vision are the fighters for leadership in China and the Asian region as a whole. This team is not yet in the world top 10, but it is not harmless at all. Its main rivals are dangerous, but approximately equal in strength – these are Chinese TyLoo and Rare Atom, as well as the now legendary TMZ – the undisputed Asian leader.
The key skill of the Lynn Vision CS team is rich experience. The team has been in the arena for over 8 years and focuses exclusively on Counter Strike (a rather surprising decision for successful eSports clubs). In this MelBet Pick’em study, we will analyze the chances of LVS becoming a new dominant force in Asia.
Lynn Vision History
Lynn Vision started in 2016-2017. It is known that this Chinese team created its first CS:GO roster in 2017 – in the fall, Lynn Vision CSGO played in their first serious tournament. However, there was a long way to go in LVG: throughout its history, the Lynn Vision team has been steadily growing, showing better results every year, but rather gradually.
For most of its history, the main focus was local Chinese C- and B-tier events. The first A-tier tournament for the club was BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2021 – 4 years after its foundation! However, today Lynn Vision CS2 have finally reached the world stage – and are ready to push out competitors even at the S-tier level.
Lynn Vision Founders
The founder of the organization is Deng “SoulJeff” Jiaxin, a Chinese entrepreneur and a big fan of eSports, who is also the main seed investor. He initially created the LVG club with plans to create competition for the then leaders of the Chinese scene – TyLoo and ViСi Gaming. It is already safe to say that this undertaking was a success.
The club does not compete in other gaming disciplines. At various times, parallel LV CS2 teams were active: a women’s Lynn Vision team, as well as rosters under the “GORDEN” and “DryPeekGaming” labels. However, at the moment, only the main team “Lynn Vision Gaming” is steadily active.
Lynn Vision Initial Roster
The lineup that represented LVG at the first local games can no longer be named with certainty. It is known for sure that from the very first year after the team’s appearance, two were present in the lineup: Westmelon and Aree, and later, in 2019, z4kr will join them. They will turn out to be the most successful players and will go through many lineup combinations in the period 2018-2021.
The first big success for the young Lynn Vision was the victory at the B-tier tournament WESG 2019 Greater China. Then the Lynn Vision roster successfully destroyed both TYLOO and ViCi Gaming – and took home $21,000 in prize money. The team played with the following lineup:
- Mo “Not7” Zhendong;
- Guo “Yvonne” Yufan;
- Niu “westmelon” Zhe (also “XG”);
- Long “Aree” Zhen;
- Zhang “z4kr” Sike (also “mitsuha”).
The coach of the team at the time was Liu “ChrisMaQ” Kun. Immediately after this victory, “Not7” was replaced by Cai “XinKoiNg” Zhouxing (he will later serve as Assistant Coach after 2023).
Aree, one of the three players in the initial core, will be benched in 2021 and replaced in a few months.
Lynn Vision Current Roster
Of the old players, two are still on the Lynn Vision team: westmelon and z4kr. The rest of the core was recruited in the last couple of years – and, it must be said, turned out to be quite successful. As of September 2025, the Lynn Vision CS2 roster is:
- Niu “westmelon” Zhe – IGL (joined 2017);
- Zhang “z4kr” Sike (joined 2019);
- Tang “EmiliaQAQ” Junjie (joined 2021);
- Ye “Starry” Lizhi (joined 2023);
- Su “C4LLM3SU3” Qihao (joined 2025).
Apart from C4LLM3SU3, there are no newcomers in the team – the core has already been well-knit, and this can explain the team’s recent success. And it really is: in 2023, Lynn Vision players first appeared at an S-tier tournament, and then successfully qualified twice and participated in their first two majors. This year, the team also took a prize place at A-tier (Asian Champions League 2025) for the first time, and immediately took silver.
And that’s not all: Lynn Vision CS2 started 2025 with a record-breaking winning streak of 21 matches, and also earned the maximum amount of prize money in their history – already more than $100,000.
The talent of the coach played a significant role in this rise. Since 2023, this position has been occupied by 32-year-old Dai “Gum” Yifei, who is also the manager of the club. He is a long-time close friend of the founder “SoulJeff”. “GUM” is a professional esports commentator and analyst, familiar with the Lynn Vision team since WESG 2019 Greater China.
Lynn Vision Tournament Achievements
Despite more than 7 years of experience, the most high-profile victories of the Lynn Vision CS2 team date back to recent years – and this cannot but please, as it indicates the growth of the team:
- 2nd place at Asian Champions League 2025, A-tier ($60,000) – the only prize place at A-tier;
- 2nd place at WESG 2019 Greater China, B-tier ($21,000+).
- 2nd place at CS:GO_ProHouse Wuxi Villa Cup Season 2, 2021, B-tier ($18,500+);
However, perhaps LVG’s main achievement in recent years is their breakthrough into the international arena. The Lynn Vision team finally successfully qualified first for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, and then for BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, and even showed growth at the latter, moving up from 20th to 12th place. If we talk about the maximum result of the S-tier level, then Lynn Vision CS2 team achieved it at the CS Asia Championships 2023, losing only in the quarterfinals to MOUZ and taking 5th-6th place.
Lynn Vision Legends
Today’s Lynn Vision Gaming would definitely not exist without Niu “westmelon” Zhe. Born in 2001, he joined the team at the age of 16. So he grew up with the Lynn Vision, and the Lynn Vision grew up with him. In the game, he is a riffler – stable, calm, setting the pace for the team. He is not a breakthrough carry, but he provides reliable support for the other members of the roster. And, it must be said, this strategy bears fruit. Together with colleagues z4kr and EmiliaQAQ, with whom they have overcome more than a hundred tournaments together, the captain of LVG confidently leads the team to global success.
Lynn Vision Upcoming Tournaments
Lynn Vision Gaming will soon be taking part in the Fissure Event September 2025 Finals – the 10th S-tier of all tournaments CS2 they have taken part in. They will also appear at the Fissure Playground #2 – and have every chance to show themselves well, as they were one step away from the semi-finals at the previous Playground #1.
In the fall, the Chinese team will also face familiar challenges on the Asian arena – CA Asia Championships 2025 (A-tier) and ESL Challenger Season 50: Asia (B-tier).
