Nemiga CS2 Team Review

Until 2017, “Nemiga” was known only as the name of a Minsk district. But today, Nemiga is a serious contender in the European Tier 2 esports scene and the most famous team from Belarus. The organization has rosters in various games: Nemiga Dota 2, CS, and FIFA teams operate alongside Nemiga Academy, the club’s youth division.

Currently, the CS roster is the club’s main success. After experiencing a decline in results in 2022-2023, the club is now climbing back to the top. So, now we’ll discuss the Nemiga gaming CSGO team’s chances of competing at the Tier 1 level in our MelBet Pick’em overview.

Nemiga History

In the summer of 2025, Nemiga esports celebrated its eighth anniversary. This Belarusian club was founded in 2017 specifically as a CS team, although a Dota 2 roster was added later that year, followed by a FIFA lineup. Nemiga CS2 twice reached the top Tier 2 rankings and competed against top global players, but has yet to secure a firm place in the global top 30.

Since 2021, the team has had virtually no Belarusian players – 90% of the roster has consistently been Russian (with a few Ukrainians and Kazakhs). This has led to Nemiga now being perceived as a Russian team.

Nemiga Founders

The mastermind and founder of Nemiga Gaming is Sergey “BooMs” Voronovich, a Belarusian game developer. He says his dream was to create the first esports organization in Belarus, one that would be successful not only locally but also capable of competing with top global players. Sergey is club’s long-time CEO.

He is assisted in management by Roman “roman” Redichin, a Nemiga CSGO analyst and a true veteran of the Belarusian esports scene. As a player, roman competed in professional tournaments as early as 2010. In 2025, Nemiga esports was re-registered – now the organization is officially headquartered in Cyprus instead of Belarus.

Nemiga Initial Roster

Nemiga Gaming emerged from K29, a freelance Belarusian team. In June 2017, the entire roster began playing under the new tag. These Belarusian players were:

The Nemiga roster didn’t last long in this form, however – the first replacement took place after just two months (dERZKIY dropped out). The team began its activities in regional C- and B-tier tournaments, but not only there. Already in their first year, they tried their hand at playing against strong opponents, participating in their first A-tier tournament, the CIS Minor Championship (closed qualifiers in 2017 and 2018).

However, there was little success in their first year. Their highest achievement was a bronze medal at the MID.TV Cyber ​​Cup 2018 (B-tier). In 2019, this initial squad finally dissolved. However, a new stage will begin in 2019 – the Nemiga CS team will demonstrate a decent performance for the first time, approaching Tier 2.

Nemiga Current Roster

Belarusian team can be considered quite stable now – after a turbulent period of replacements in 2021-2023, the lineup is now almost settled. Currently (as of October 2025), the Nemiga roster consists of four Russians and one Belarusian:

The Nemiga CS unit also has a new coach – since the fall of 2023, Anton Burko, who previously played for the team for over three years, has been coaching. Beginning in September 2025, the club’s management also brought in Russian Andrey “XomA” Mironenko (on a temporary contract) to fill this role.

2024 and 2025 marked a significant rebound for the team, ending the slump of 2021-2023. Thus, the CS2 Nemiga team participated in three S-tier events for the first time, and even played in their first Major, BLAST.tv Austin 2025. At the main global tournament, the squad defeated many strong CS2 teams (such as HEROIC) and successfully reached Stage 3! This is still a unique case for Belarusian esports.

Nemiga Tournament Achievements

Nemiga CS2 biggest triumph also came in 2025 – a series of victories at RES tournaments, hosted by Serbian organization RLG. However, they’ve had other notable winnings in the intervening years. Their list of the team’s top achievements (as of fall 2025) includes:

Yes, the Nemiga CS2 team hasn’t yet secured any top-10 finishes in S-tier competition, and their only major achievement is a single top-10 finish at an IEM event. However, even reaching the top global teams, as Nemiga has done over the past two years, is a feat not everyone can achieve.

Nemiga Legends

Ihar “lollipop21k” Vasiukevich can rightly be called one of Nemiga CS most prominent players. He spent approximately three and a half years with the team and was one of the key players in its “golden era” from 2018 to 2021. An aggressive yet flawless rifler, he was one of the strongest players on the roster that would take silver at Intel Extreme Masters XV “New York Online: CIS” in 2021. His departure was a major blow to the club.

Another equally important player was Roman “roman” Redichin, a member of the initial roster. He was replaced by lollipop21k, as roman himself was transferred to Nemiga CS2 sideline, Zorka Team, in 2018. However, later, in 2020, Redichin returned to the main team, this time as an analyst. Today, he plays a key role in the club’s development.

Nemiga Upcoming Tournaments

In 2025, more than 50% of the CS2 Nemiga team events, as always, were B-tier tournaments. Therefore, it’s expected that they will continue to hone their skills in these tournaments, preparing for the rare top events. In recent months (fall 2025), the team’s performance has declined slightly again. Nemiga CS2 has left the HLTV top 30, meaning they shouldn’t expect automatic qualification for top-tier CS2 tournaments just yet.
