Aurora Dota 2 Team Review
Aurora Gaming Dota 2 may look like a relatively new name in the gaming industry, yet its short history showcases some resounding games and successes. Established in 2023, the Dota 2 division was initially based in Malaysia, despite the rest of the organization being in Serbia.
Today, it’s considered a Serbian team, yet the organization has numerous members in Turkey and the Philippines, too. While better known for Dota 2 teams, there’s also an Aurora CS2 division.
This MelBet Pick’em review will give you all the details about a newcomer that’s quickly managed to become a prominent name in the industry.
Aurora Gaming History
Aurora Dota was established in the summer of 2023. The Aurora Dota 2 division became active in November of the same year, with an impressive roster. Some of the top players in the team over the past years include Oli, Q, Palos, and Jabz, to name a few.
The team qualified for The International 2025 after smashing the Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier. However, the squad also participated in other reputable events, including several seasons of PGL Wallachia, DreamLeague 26, and BLAST SLAM III.
Aurora Gaming Founders
The Aurora team was established by Valerii Kharitonov. He’s still the Aurora Gaming owner today. Despite the Aurora Dota 2 division being established a year later, the original team was created in the summer of 2022. It was founded in Serbia.
Valerii Kharitonov is better known by his alias in the gaming industry, L3rich.
In terms of notable names, it’s worth mentioning an ad campaign for the Aurora CS2 division that brought the roster and adult film actress Eva Elfie together.
Aurora Gaming Initial Roster
The initial Aurora Dota 2 roster was created in November 2023. It wasn’t a mix of different players, but a group of people who knew each other. That’s what contributed to the Aurora esports performance over such a short period of time, not to mention the players’ experience and reputation.
- 23savage (Nuengnara Teeramahanon), Carry.
- Armel (Armel Tabios), Mid.
- Jabz (Anucha Jirawong), Offlane.
- Q (Worawit Mekchai), Support.
- Oli (Chan Chon Kien), Support.
Their best performance was the 7th-8th position at The International 2024.
In 2024, the team was coached by Lee Jeong-jae, also known as SunBhie. The team made history with its initial roster because players were part of the Talon Esports lineup first, so they were familiar with each other.
Aurora Gaming Current Roster
As of September 2025, the Aurora Dota 2 roster is different from the original setup, including the coach. After SunBhie (Lee Jeong-jae) left, the team was taken over by G (Sergey Bragin) in the spring of 2025.
- Nightfall — Egor Grigorenko (Russia, 23 years old) — Carry. Joined on February 28, 2025.
- Kiyotaka — Gleb Zyryanov (Russia, 20 years old) — Mid. Joined on February 28, 2025.
- TORONTOTOKYO — Alexander Khertek (Russia, 28 years old) — Offlane. Joined on February 28, 2025.

This Aurora Dota 2 team was created from scratch. All players joined at the same time, on the 28th of February, 2025.
With this roster, Aurora smashed the Eastern Europe Closed Qualifier and got into The International. It also achieved the 4th position at the DreamLeague and reached the 5th-8th position at the Esports World Cup.
Other notable participations include the PGL Wallachia and BLAST Slam III. In both competitions, the team reached the 5th position.

- Nightfall (Egor Grigorenko) has more than 400 games in his portfolio. The Russian professional has managed to earn over $1 million in the gaming industry and has received some rewards within the team.
- Panto (Nikita Balaganin) played around 500 games. His most notable achievements are in Aurora Dota 2 and include success in the DreamLeague.
Everyone in the team Aurora Dota 2 has a rich history, including personal achievements away from the team, too.
Aurora Gaming Upcoming Tournaments
There are currently no upcoming tournaments for the Dota 2 squad. While there are quite a few Dota 2 tournaments scheduled for the upcoming months, the Dota 2 Aurora squad hasn’t registered interest in them, at least not at the moment.
Their last run in Dota 2 included a series of matches in September 2025.
However, it’s not unusual for big and reputable Dota 2 teams to wait until the last moment to join a competition, only to create some tension.
