Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov Overview

This man’s low media profile contrasts with his high results. Ukrainian CS:GO player Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov plays for NaVi, a top-10 team in the world, but he doesn’t like to talk much about himself. His excellent results make him one of the team’s most valuable assets and a worthy successor to the Natus Vincere veterans. We’ve prepared information about one of Eastern Europe’s best snipers in the new MelBet Pick’em review.

W0nderful Path to Esports

Igor Zhdanov, the future W0nderful NaVi team member, was born on December 14, 2004, in Odesa, Ukraine. He started playing CS incredibly early, at the age of 4 or 5, thanks to his uncle, also a shooter fan. However, for a long time, he played the old version of CS 1.6, simply because his parents refused to spend money on computer games. When he was 14, they finally bought Zhdanov a new PC, and he quickly made up for his lag.

W0nderful CS player recalled that the game even benefited him during his school years – thanks to interacting with other CS2 players in FACEIT matches, he learned conversational English very well.

W0nderful Professional Career

Igor’s career began at the age of 15 – in 2020, he was already playing in local Ukrainian mixes at his first tournaments. After playing for several months on the Ukrainian team MAJESTY, in 2021, the w0nderful CS player moved to the more serious club Project X. This was already a Tier 2 team, and with it, w0nderful qualified for his first A-tier event, Snow Sweet Snow #1. However, the club soon disbanded.

Then, over the next year and a half, w0nderful CS2 AWPer gained skill on other Ukrainian Tier 3 teams, significantly standing out among his teammates. In 2022, he moved to Berlin with the support of FACEIT and received new gaming equipment. In the spring of 2022, Igor was invited to join the Russian Team Spirit to replace star sniper degster.

The unit played well, although not brilliantly. Among his achievements were participation in the Rio 2022 Major and victory at the FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals (A-tier). Ultimately, in the summer of 2023, management decided to change the roster, and w0nderful became a free agent.

W0nderful Current Team & Role

The summer of 2023 is a time of significant change for Ukraine’s Natus Vincere. A global legend, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, is leaving the team. The team is searching for a new sniper and settles on 18-year-old w0nderful CS2 player. At the time, he had started playing for the German Tier 2 club Sprout, his first English-language team.

Naturally, Igor eagerly accepts the offer to join one of the strongest rosters among all CS2 teams. No one hoped the young player to be as experienced as his predecessor, but Zhdanov exceeded all expectations, showing excellent results. Young newcomers typically play more aggressively, but w0nderful, on the contrary, demonstrated a more systematic, measured gameplay. W0nderful CFG, on the other hand, are characterized by an aggressive style – high sensitivity (eDPI 1068) and a resolution of 1280×960 Stretched.

A few months after joining NaVi, Igor won the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. To date, the W0nderful NaVi team member has attended four Majors, gaining bronze at StarLadder Budapest in 2025.

Since the summer of 2023, Igor “w0nderful” Zhdanov has been playing for the top Ukrainian team Natus Vincere, or simply NaVi.

Zhdanov participated in his first official tournament at the age of 15 – at the Levono Legion Cup Ukraine in the summer of 2020. He played as part of the SpeedRunners mix team, and a month later, he joined his first full-fledged team, MAJESTY.
