Robin “ropz” Kool Overview
In his youth, Estonian Robin “ropz” Kool dreamed of playing for FaZe, on the Call of Duty roster. His dream would partially come true – ropz would indeed join FaZe, but only on the Counter-Strike team. Ultimately, FaZe would bring him fame, and he would help them achieve it – in 2022, the team would win the Major and become a top-ranked team worldwide. Today, ropz plays for Vitality. As of 2025, he is the most successful Estonian esports player of all time – find out how he built his career in MelBet Pick’em review.
Ropz Path to Esports
Robin was born in 1999 to an Estonian farmer. His first passion in gaming was Counter-Strike 1.6, which he discovered at the age of seven. However, the young Estonian didn’t appreciate the next version, CS Source and instead turned his attention to Call of Duty. He managed to negotiate with his mother that, in exchange for good grades, she would allow him to play at night, and so he began training.
14-year-old Kool dreamed of joining the American FaZe Team’s CoD roster, and he even began to chart his career path. However, a year later, he decided to return to his previous game, embracing the new CS:GO. As future ropz CS fan demonstrated, it was the right decision.
Ropz Professional Career
So, at 15, Robin joined the semi-professional OnlineBOTS (the Estonian national team) and played in his first C-tier tournaments, as well as participating in Faceit events. Ropz CSGO player, quickly grew: a year later, in 2017, he was already invited to Team Liquid, but instead chose the top German team mousesports—now known as MOUZ.
MOUZ would become Robin’s true esports school. He would play there for over 3.5 years, eventually moving on to FaZe, his dream team, in 2021 for a promotion. This period has been the peak of the Estonian’s career so far. With FaZe, he achieved numerous S-tier victories, including IEM XVI and XVII, and most importantly, PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
Playing for these three top teams for the last eight years of his career, ropz has played in absolutely every Major during this period—with the exception of just one, in 2019.
Ropz Current Team & Role
On New Year’s Eve 2025, FaZe tenderly bid farewell to ropz CS2 player. He wanted to find a team with more firepower to further develop. Team Vitality was looking for a replacement for Lotan “Spinx” Giladi, and the Estonian took his place, becoming the first Eastern European player in the French club’s history.
Thus, ropz is currently (as of autumn 2025) the newest member of the Vitality CS unit. His role is support and maximum stability. Ropz CS2 player, plays as a lurker, holding down passive areas of the map. His assumption of this role freed up mezii, another player, to play more actively and flexibly.
With Vitality, Kool has already taken first place at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2025 and, of course, won the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
Ropz Records & Awards
Ropz Vitality team member, is a true Estonian legend. He rose to fame back in 2017 when he became the first Estonian to compete in a Major (with mousesports, at PGL Major Kraków 2017 (CS:GO)). He is also the first Estonian in the HLTV top 20. Kool has also earned the MVP award five times, three of which were at the ESL Pro League.
In the HLTV Esports “Player of the Year” rankings, he set a personal best in 2023, reaching third place in the world.
