The MongolZ CS2 Players: Surprising Facts You Didn’t Know
If you live in Mongolia and don’t know who The MongolZ are, I honestly have no idea how you made it to 2025 — but if you think you already know everything about them, I’m here to prove you wrong. In this exclusive article for MLB Pick’em, I’ve collected fascinating personal facts about each player from the current The MongolZ lineup. Even if you follow their every step, I guarantee there are The MongolZ facts here you’ve never heard before!
Garidmagnai “bLitz” Byambasuren — Grandmaster & Captain
- Before his CS career, Blitz played chess professionally and earned the title of FIDE Master.
- In the official chess rankings, he holds 4174th place globally and 16th in Mongolia.
- In 2021, he placed in the top 10 at the Mongolian qualifier for the World Blitz Chess Championship.
- His love for chess never left: to this day, he relaxes by playing Auto Chess in Dota 2.
- His nickname is a direct reference to chess — “blitz” is the format of fast-paced games.
- The first team he played for was called Checkmate (a direct reference to the chess term meaning the end of the game).
- Blitz says chess shaped him as a captain — strategic thinking and calm under pressure give him an edge.
- He’s a huge fan of Rosé from Blackpink — at one point, her photos were his avatars on both Steam and FACEIT.
- At BLAST Paris Major, he played on a custom gaming chair, apparently made by the same company behind Matys’ mousepad.
- His Steam library only has two games: CS and Dota 2. He has around 2.2k hours in Dota and nearly 11,7k in CS.
- He’s into boxing and compares The MongolZ to a fighter with nothing to lose: “We play free and aggressive, punishing mistakes.”
- His favorite quote is from Marvin Hagler: “It’s tough to get out of bed to do roadwork at 5 a.m. when you’re sleeping in silk sheets.”
- Blitz doesn’t shout or hype up the team — his leadership style is quiet, cold-blooded, and hyper-rational.
- He firmly believes emotional players are dead weight: “You won’t succeed if you’re too emotional.”

Sodbayar “Techno4k” Munkhbold — Clutcher & K-pop Fan
- Techno4k is another chess player on The MongolZ roster. He competed in tournaments from a young age — including one with Blitz when he was just 11.
- He’s convinced that if it weren’t for CS, he would have become a professional chess player.
- “Sometimes he says he has three girlfriends. Then he says he’s single. I don’t get it — either he has three, or none,” Blitz jokes.
- He’s the only player on the team who regularly gives post-match interviews. Many believe that’s because he’s the only one who speaks English, but that’s a myth — all The MongolZ players speak English, they just don’t enjoy being on camera.
- He’s a fan of single-player story-driven games. His favorites are Resident Evil and Call of Duty.
- Before matches, he listens to K-pop — especially the group NewJeans.
- He has a nickname: “the team mom.” It started after a tough boot camp, when he cooked tsuivan (a traditional Mongolian noodle dish with meat) for his teammates. Since then, Techno ends up at the stove before every team meetup. It’s become their little ritual. “If Techno is cooking — we’re winning,” says Blitz.

Usukhbayar “910” Banzragch — Silent Sniper from Dota
- Before switching to CS, 910 played Dota 2 under the nickname “Choker” — and even dreamed of a career in MOBA.
- He became the first Mongolian CS player to earn an MVP award at a major tournament — Yalla Compass 2024.
- In 2023, he had only 3,500 hours in CS; now it’s around 6,500 — still considered very low for a tier-1 player.
- He reached FACEIT level 10 in just six months and went from 2k to 3k elo in just two months. Currently, his rating has dropped slightly and sits around 2275.
- Fans are still actively discussing his unusually fast rise through the ranks. The most persistent theory is that 910 had received a VAC ban on a previous account and decided to start fresh with a new one in 2021. While this has never been confirmed, it also hasn’t been publicly denied — which only fuels further speculation.
- Blitz once described him in two words during a stream: “lives in a closet” and “a little emo.”
- The nickname “910” is one of the strangest in the pro scene. To this day, no one knows what it really means. Some think it stands for “9 out of 10 shots” — as coach B1ad3 once said, that’s the benchmark for a good AWPer. Others suggest it visually resembles the word “elo.” But why would a player barely active on FACEIT choose that? 910 himself never explained it publicly, but on social media, his tag is “nine ten” — likely how he prefers it to be read. The MongolZ only adds to the mystery: after his MVP, the org released a shirt that read “910 & 911” — a reference to Naruto characters Sakon and Ukon. It has zero connection to CS.
- He switched to CS at 16, after failing to form a stable Dota team.
- He’s passionate about football and dreams of organizing a show match between Mongolian pro footballers and esports players.
- “CS is like football, but with a mouse. We run too — just on maps. And we pass — with grenades,” says 910.

Ayush “mzinho” Batbold — Memer & Bart4k’s Brother
- Mzinho is the younger brother of the well-known Mongolian CS player Bart4k. In 2023, he took his brother’s place on The MongolZ after a roster shuffle.
- His first-ever tweet appeared when Astralis announced the signing of cadiaN: “Welcome, my GOAT.” Ironic, considering Cadian had called all the MongolZ players noobs just a year earlier.
- His Steam nickname reads like a manifesto: “no women until 2028.” I think no further comment is needed.
- During one of the matches, Mzinho called Flamie “oguzok” — a reference to the Russian TV series Kukhnya. At one point, his Steam avatar featured Maxim Lavrov, a character from the same show.
- He’s often mistaken for the Chinese Dota player XinQ. Mzinho from The MongolZ has embraced the meme and jokes about it himself. When they finally met at a tournament, they immediately took a photo together — as any internet legend and its doppelgänger should.
- Mzinho always brings his mouse to tournaments in a special carrying case — a gift from the team.
- After The MongolZ reached the playoffs of the Shanghai Major, Mzinho shared an emotional post saying he missed his late grandmother most of all: “I hope she’s watching me from above and is proud.” It was their grandmother who supported both brothers from the beginning and even bought them the computer that started their path in CS.

Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold — Superstitious Rifler with Style
- As a kid, Senzu got lucky: his mother was an architect, so there was always a powerful PC at home for her work. While she was busy, little Azbayar would launch CS. Safe to say, his FPS was stream-level. From the very beginning, he played on max settings.
- Senzu is a big fan of Kendrick Lamar. He used to have Kendrick as his Steam avatar, and after The MongolZ made playoffs at the Shanghai Major, he quoted a line from Not Like Us: “They don’t like us.” Now, his avatar features a stylized Itachi from Naruto.
- Before joining The MongolZ, he played for the international team NKT with BnTeT. That’s where the scandal happened: Senzu borrowed skins from teammates and lost them betting. According to BnTeT, he initially refused to repay the debt. Later, he admitted the mistake, but never returned to the team.
- He registered his current FACEIT account in February 2020. Amazingly, he reached level 10 just a month later.
- He’s extremely superstitious: he makes his bed every single day — because if he doesn’t, the team will lose. And yes, he truly believes that.
- Outside the server, he’s a very private person. He doesn’t stream, rarely posts on social media, and almost never gives interviews. Still, at bootcamps, he’s known as “the most disciplined in the team.” First to arrive, last to leave, always on schedule.
- Right now, Senzu holds a historic record for most frags on a single map at a CS2 Major. At BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, on Dust2 vs G2, he scored 36 kills in regulation and finished the match with 56. Final score — 28:25, rating 1.61. This made him the most impactful player on a single CS2 Major map — by every metric.

Why The MongolZ Are More Than Just a Team
Each player on The MongolZ feels like they’re from a different universe. One is a quiet Dota player, another — a team chef with a soft spot for NewJeans. One lost his teammates’ skins and now obsessively makes his bed, another has Itachi as his avatar and plays like it’s an anime duel.
And yet, together, they become the Mongolian machine that broke the system. They have none of the clichés of a “top team” — but they have everything we love about esports: personality, spirit, discipline, and a wild connection between five completely different people.
On March 4, 2025, The MongolZ were officially named the national esports team of Mongolia. That moment changed everything for the squad: they now receive government salaries, diplomatic passports, funded travel, and even a full training facility in Ulaanbaatar. But I believe they’re just getting started. After reaching the grand final of BLAST Austin Major 2025, the entire world is waiting to see what they do next — and so am I!
