Rene “TeSeS” Madsen Overview

This man prefers to show off his skills on maps rather than chat with journalists. Dane Rene Madsen, aka TeSeS, long known to Counter-Strike fans as a stable member of HEROIC, now plays for Team Falcons. He’s played in eight Majors and earned ten EVP titles. He doesn’t consider himself a star, and doesn’t strive for stardom—he just quietly does his job. In this article, MelBet Pick’em has compiled all the information about another talent from the Nordic country renowned for its esports players.

TeSeS Path to Esports

TeSeS CS player, or Rene Stensig Madsen, was born in December 2000 in the small town of Skjern, Denmark. He doesn’t like to talk much about his youth, so nothing is known about his family or how he became involved in professional CS.

One of his first tags was “LetExerzCarry” – under this tag, he played in the European qualifier for ELEAGUE Season 2 in 2016, at the age of 15. Then, before reaching adulthood, he played for four teams: the Danish C-tier clubs UNBOUND, Reason Gaming.dk, GoldenGitte, and Squared Esports.

TeSeS Professional Career

TeSeS CS player joined his first top team in the summer of 2019, when he was 18 years old. It was OpTic Gaming, a club from the United States. At the time, the team, once a top-tier team in the world, was ranked in the top 20. With OpTic, René reached his first A-tier tournament, DreamHack Open Summer 2019, and a couple of months later, he competed in his first S-tier event, ESL One: New York 2019.

After playing for about six months with OpTic, TeSeS moved to the Danish Tier-2 team Copenhagen Flames, where he spent another six months. Finally, in the spring of 2020, he landed a spot on the team that remains the most fundamental stage of his career – HEROIC. By the end of the year, the Norwegian club had risen from 35th to first place in the world rankings. This was just the beginning – in total, TeSeS, a CS2 player, would spend almost five years with HEROIC.

During these years, René would participate in six Majors: the team would take bronze twice and silver once (Rio 2022). His other major victories include the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, and Spring Final 2023.

TeSeS Current Team & Role

In 2025, HEROIC and Team Falcons entered into a mutually beneficial contract: both teams were planning to rebuild, and the Norwegian club sold their captain, kyxsan, to the Saudi team, along with two rifflers, TeSeS and degster (who would later leave TF).

So today, the TeSeS Falcons team member plays under the guidance of a familiar IGL. His key role is anchor and support. TeSeS CFG is average for pro players, except for a slightly lower Zoom (0.9).

In fact, he does the dirty work, often resorting to trades. However, TeSeS is happy. He’s proud of his talented teammates, veteran NiKo and main striker m0NESY, and he evaluates his role rationally. “You can’t assemble a team of all-stars, and you can’t have stars without competent support,” says Madsen.

In a year of activity with the new team, the roster led Team Falcons from 10th to 3rd place worldwide. His main victories in 2025 included first place at PGL Bucharest 2025 and second place at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025. TeSeS Falcons member also participated in two Majors in 2025, finishing 20th-22nd in Austin and 5th-8th in Budapest.
