Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko Overview

Nikita “HeavyGod” Martynenko is a 23-year-old Israeli-Ukrainian CS rifler. At a young age, he put in the work and finally made his way up to tier 1 stages, amassing over 100,000 US dollars in winnings. Despite being active for just five years, Nikita is recognized as one of the top tier CS2 players on the CS scene and not just CS2, considering the HeavyGod CSGO debut.

This MelBet Pick’em CS2 player review features all you need to know about this top-tier player, highlighting his esports debut, career so far, current team and role, records and awards.

HeavyGod Path to Esports

Despite being reputed for having one of the fastest ascents on the modern CS scene, HeavyGod was not scouted but rather blazed his own trail towards the big stage. Although there are no publicly confirmed details about Nikita’s childhood, the player himself has often credited the motivation for his interest in Counter Strike to his brother. While his playtime was monitored and limited to create a sense of discipline, this influence ultimately shaped his passion for the game.

Although he originally started playing Counter Strike 1.6, HeavyGod’s love for video games deepened around 2018-2019, when he fully transitioned to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). His transition to CSGO marked the beginning of his competitive play before his skills put him in the spotlight, leading to a debut at just the age of 18.

HeavyGod Professional Career

Although his debut with MAESTRO in November 2020 is considered his first professional appearance, this was just a stint and he also joined the Tycoons for a short period in 2021. His first team experience was with DREAM Gaming, signing to the team late September 2021. These formative years sharpened his rifling prowess, having to depend on his skills over team synergy because he wasn’t always around long enough to build it. He eventually left Dream Gaming in December 2021.

HeavyGod went on a short break after his departure from Dream Gaming, eventually signing to Budapest Five on the 25th of April, 2022. Three months later, HeavyGod CS2 skills moved to Websterz where he only played from July to August 2022, going on a quick 1 month stint with Iron Branch. He signed to Endpoint immediately after his stint with Iron Branch in October 2022, playing for Endpoint until January 2024.

In January 2024, he signed with OG, staying with the team for six months before transferring to Cloud9 in July 2024. He eventually left Cloud9 in January 2025, marking the beginning of the HeavyGod G2 Esports journey.

HeavyGod Current Team & Role

G2 Esports is one of Counter-Strike’s most prestigious CS2 teams and signing with the team marked the significant milestone of HeavyGod’s career and has proven to be his best decision so far. HeavyGod CS2 skills are proof that his CSteam transitions were not impulsive or simple roster changes but learning curves, exposing him to different tactics, leadership styles, and prompting the development of HeavyGod cfg. While former team results varied, HeavyGod CS2 performances remained reliable, reinforcing his reputation as a rifler capable of holding sites, trading efficiently, and delivering impact rounds when momentum mattered.

Since joining the team as a rifler, HeavyGod CS2 skills have been put to test across the most demanding CS2 events, including IEM, BLAST, ESL Pro League, and PGL tournaments. Besides being the MVP winner in the team’s BLAST Open London 2025 Finals win, one of his standout achievements was a second-place finish at PGL Bucharest 2025, the strongest of his career to date.
