David “Frozen” Čerňanský Overview

David “Frozen” Čerňanský is a CS2 rifler with nearly 800,000 US Dollars in prize money and the 8th best player of 2025 on the HLTV list at the age of only 24 years. Joining the FaZe CS team following the departure of Twistszz in 2023, David is largely regarded to be one of the most reliable riflers in the realm of CS2. Continue reading this MelBet Pick’em CS2 player review to get the full bio of David with his journey, career, records, and awards.

Frozen Path to Esports

Born on the 18th July 2002, Frozen CS journey began as a young player who watched his brother play while waiting for his turn. Before his competitive debut, he is said to have joined his first official local team at age ten. His competitive debut was on the Cyborg Factory team in 2015, shortly after which he moved to nEophyte, where he played from October 2015 to March 2016.

The player joined MOUZ in 2019, dominating the global stage with his performance as the team’s clutch rifle, laying the foundation for the Frozen FaZe chapter. FaZe eventually negotiated an early contract release to debut him at BLAST Premier World Final 2023. While the player had other CS2 teams looking to sign him, he chose FaZe, drawn by reuniting with ex-MOUZ CS2 players karrigan and ropz.

Frozen Professional Career

As stated, David’s debut was with the Cyborg Factory team and is currently playing for FaZe. Here’s all you need to know to fill in the gap between playing for the disbanded Czech team to a tier 1 team.

The rifler transferred from the Cyborg Factory Team to Neophyte late 2015, when he won the Mistrovství ČR 2015, establishing Frozen CS2 pro status at the young age of 13. He transferred to eXtatus in 2016, playing until 2018 when they lost their sponsor and got disbanded. During his time, the team did record wins likethe Binary Dragons Cup Season 6 and ESEA Season 25 Europe.

After eXtatus folded, Frozen CS2 prowess was limited to several smaller or short-term lineups before finally playing for FaZe. Here’s a quick run-through of some lineups he joined.

  • warmup (Jul–Aug 2018)
  • Majestic Lions (Aug–Oct 2018)
  • GUNRUNNERS (Oct 2018–Jan 2019)
  • NoChance (Jan–Mar 2019)

Frozen Current Team & Role

David joined FaZe CS2 squad on the 12th of March, 2023, and has been playing as the team’s rifler since that time. He is teammates with broky, rain, karrigan, and such new players like EliGE or jcobbb, and is coached by NEO. Frozen CS2 playstyle is most helpful in controlling the middle of the rounds, clutches, complimenting karrigan as a leader, rain in aggression, broky as an AWPer, and ropz as a lurker.

The previous 10 games that David has played with FaZe Clan have seen him give figures that surpassed the internal standards of the team. His average was 0.71 KPR, 80.36 ADR, 73.62% KAST, and 1.12 HLTV rating, which is a combination of consistency and interrater reliability as opposed to streak output. This is supported by the Frozen cfg, which is an intentional formation of the player hud for rifling, focusing on steadiness as opposed to speed.

Frozen Records & Awards

David is one of the youngest players ever to win a national CS championship and one of the youngest to debut at the highest competitive level in Counter-Strike history. Aside from this, David has four straight HLTV Top 20 finishes from 2023 – 2025, and four EVPs in 2025 only. David may not own headline-friendly “most MVPs ever” records, but Frozen CS2 track highlights elite longevity, cross-era relevance, and rifler efficiency at the highest level.
